Pastor Frank B. Smith III was born May 23rd, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank B. Smith Sr. and Mary Thelma Smith (Carter), whom both proceeded him in death. After graduating from Calumet High School in 1967, he joined the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Airmen E-1 at Offutt Air Force Base, (Strategic Air Command Headquarters) S.A.C. in Omaha, Nebraska. 

After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1969, he went into law enforcement starting as a Correctional Officer for Statesville Department of Corrections, Chicago Police Officer for the Chicago Police Department, and was a conductor with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).  He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. 

On November 18th, 1995, he married Karen D. Lawson and to that union was born one child. 

Pastor Smith had many accomplishments in life. He accepted the call to preach in 2003 and was ordained by Pastor David McMillion. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and served as a Pastor of Alpha & Omega Flames of Revival Ministries U.S.A. up until 2016. 

Pastor Smith will be remembered most for spreading the word of God & his immense faith. His hobbies included fishing, photography, music, and cooking, especially barbecuing. He was an exceptional athlete and was on the Basketball and Track & Field team in high school. He was also experienced in Martial Arts. Pastor Smith’s legacy will live on through his nomination listed in the “Who’s Who of Photographers”, with his company Concept 2000 Productions and Photography. 

Pastor Smith made his transition on Friday, November 18th, 2022. He is survived by, his loving wife of over 27 years, Karen D. Smith, and their daughter, Francesca M. Smith; as well as his former wife, Patricia A. Smith and their three daughters, Dr. Lisa M. Smith of Atlanta, GA, Stacy M. Smith of Hammond, IN, and Leslie M. Holley (Kenneth) of Land O’ Lakes, FL; one brother, Abdul Ahmad Bey of Chicago, IL; two granddaughters, Kelsie Ann and Kendall Yvonne Holley; a host of nieces, cousins, friends, and church family who all loved him dearly.
